At ReadyPhonics, we believe every teacher deserves access to effective, easy-to-implement tools that help students build the foundational literacy skills they need to succeed. Whether implemented as a core literacy curriculum or used one page at a time for targeted reading intervention, ReadyPhonics provides teachers with a flexible solution designed to meet students where they are.

Scope and Sequence

Our program was designed to exceed Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and is the simple path to student mastery of each benchmark. With a simple, flexible structure featuring one workbook per grade level and one page per day, it integrates seamlessly alongside your current curriculum, works as a standalone solution, or serves as a targeted reading intervention resource to meet your classroom needs.

Pre-K: Level 1 Alphabet

Pre-K according to ELOF: Recognizes most uppercase and lowercase letters; understands that print carries meaning; identifies some letter sounds; enjoys books; begins phonological awareness.

Kindergarten: Level 2 Reader

Kindergarten according to CCSS: Knows all uppercase and lowercase letters; reads common high-frequency words; decodes simple CVC words; reads emergent-reader texts with understanding.

1st Grade: Level 3 Reader

First grade according to CCSS: Decodes one- and two-syllable words; applies phonics to unfamiliar words; accurately reads grade-level text; retells stories/answers comprehension questions.

Grades 2-6: Literacy Intervention

ReadyPhonics is designed to cover all foundational literacy skills simply and systematically making it the perfect resource for reading intervention for struggling students in grades 2 through 6.
